The largest island in Alaska, Kodiak is a place of remarkable scenic beauty, abundant with wildlife and lush vegetation. The City of Kodiak is about 250 miles south of Anchorage. It serves as the major supply and transportation center for the Kodiak Island Archipelago, a large group of islands about 30 miles from the Alaska Peninsula.
Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is a critical access hospital featuring 25 acute beds, including 4 birthing suites and 2 ICU beds. In addition, our Elder House has 19 long term care beds. With emphasis on evidence based practice, our staff strives to create a quality health care experience for each patient - one focused on trust, respect, communication and teamwork. We proudly support the educational development of staff and provide onsite career development for staff members.
