Providence Health & Services Sonographer, Vascular, OB and General in Kodiak, Alaska
Providence is calling a Sonographer- Vascular, General and OB to Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center in Kodiak, Alaska. This is a full time - day shift position. Relocation Assistance offered.

We are seeking a Sonographer - Vascular to Perform and evaluate sonographic examinations and physiologic vascular testing. Obtain clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol. Provide a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis. Provide patient care while procedures are in progress.
In this position you will:
Prepare examination rooms and equipment for scheduled procedures.
Follow prescribed sonographic, echocardiograhy and vascular examinations.
Perform general office duties, schedules exams, instructs patients on preparations, files and maintains patient folders and reports as well as computer records.
Responsible for accurately completing daily records including QA and QI information necessary to meet accreditation standards.
Responsible for calibrating, maintaining and basic troubleshooting of sonographic equipment.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent, diploma or certification from an ANSI accredited ultrasound program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of date of hire
2 years in echocardiography, sonography, and vascular technology
Registered by an ANSI accredited credentialing organization in Cardiac and Vascular modalities.
