Providence Health & Services Radiology Technologist II - Xray and CT in Kodiak, Alaska
Providence is calling a Radiology Technician II - Xray and CT (Cat Scanner) at Kodiak Island Medical Center in Kodiak, Alaska. This is full-time variable shift.

In this position you will:
Perform wide variety of Diagnostic X-Ray and CT procedures and protocols, maintaining high image quality according to department, hospital, and national standards.
Communicate with physicians, nurses and other members of the team concerning patient status, diagnosis, and related information.
Comply with department and hospital magnetic safety standards.
Maintains team-oriented approach to high standards of patient care and patient flow through the department.
Calibrate, maintain and trouble-shoot equipment and independent workstations.
Perform the duties necessary to meet the departmental goals within established procedures and guidelines.
Optimize equipment and supplies to benefit department operations and needs.
Complete records, daily Quality Assurance and Improvement information, meeting regulatory and department standards.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered or eligible. If eligible, must obtain ARRT licensure within 6 months of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of date of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist
2 years experience in Computed Tomography (CT)

Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center (PKIMC) provides comprehensive health care to residents and visitors of Kodiak Island. This critical access hospital features 25 acute care beds, including four birthing suites, one OB triage room, and two ICU beds. In addition, the Elder House, PKIMC’s long term care facility, has 22 beds.
PKIMC provides an extensive array of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency department, surgery, laboratory services, maternity, general medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, sleep studies, specialty clinics, diagnostic imaging services and pharmacy and is staffed by a mix of primary care physicians, surgeons and specialists who provide family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics, radiology and general practice.
