Providence Clinician II in Kodiak, Alaska
Providence is calling a Clinician II (Comm Serv Program, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Kodiak Alaska Mental Health Center in Kodiak, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults in an individual, couples or group format as appropriate. Provides evaluations and/or psychological assessments as appropriate.
Work within guidelines of accepted standards of mental health practice.
Develop treatment plans, records clinical progress, and prepares reports as appropriate. Completes clinical and administrative records in a timely, legible, accurate and professional manner.
Provide consultation and education to individuals, agencies, organizations and other professionals.
Participate in regular clinical supervision, staffing, in-service training and professional development. Confers with clinicians, psychiatrists and other professionals as appropriate. Provides in-service training as directed.
Participate in 24-hour on-call crisis intervention and emergency service rotation. Determines need for voluntary and involuntary psychiatric hospitalizations and assumes responsibility for the coordination of associated legal procedures.
Provide outreach mental health services to remote borough residents as directed.
Participate in related community activities or groups as directed.
Participate in Mental Health Center committees and program development as requested.
Eligible to serve in Team Leader role as assigned by Director. Team Leader responsibilities include the coordination and supervision of clinician staff.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field
Licensure as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Two (2) years progressively responsible experience in a mental health or closely related setting.
