Providence Clinician I - School Program in Kodiak, Alaska

Clinician I KMHC Providence Kodiak Alaska Mental Health Center

Under supervision this entry level clinical position provides mental health services to children, adolescents and adults. Caseload is lower and services provided are less complex than Clinician II and III. Provides crisis and emergency services as needed. Is responsible for taking call for emergencies on a rotating basis.

Required qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other behavioral health discipline Or

  • Bachelor's Degree and actively pursuing an MA or MS in a mental health field. (Actively pursing means acceptance into a program and completion of one 3 credit course per semester.). Master’s Degree must be obtained within three (3) years from date of hire into the position

  • Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain within six months of hire

  • Candidate with a Bachelor’s degree require a minimum of one year experience in a mental health related field

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience is preferred for candidates with a related Master’s degree
