Providence Health & Services Admitting Representative - Kodiak Mental Health Center in Kodiak, Alaska

Description:

Providence is calling an Admitting Representative KMHC (Administration, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Kodiak Alaska Mental Health Center in Kodiak, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Accurately interview and retrieve specific information from the patient, family, physician or other representative in a sensitive, respectful and confidential manner.

  • Oversee the operation of the Switch Board by answers all incoming calls, transfers calls as requested and utilizes the intercom and page system in a courteous and efficient manner.

  • Accurately enter data in to the computer system within a timely manner, meeting department accuracy standards.

  • Accurately complete documentation for the registration process including obtaining signatures and other related paperwork in a timely manner.

  • Is self-directed and displays ability to maintain personal productivity level while working with other team members, to provide a smooth efficient departmental operation, to allow maximum comfort and confidentiality for the customer

  • Responsible to obtain the necessary knowledge and experience to perform job tasks in compliance with federal, State and local laws, regulations and guidelines.

  • Embraces the Providence Service Standards in all aspects of position. Presents and conducts self in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

Required qualification for this position include:

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred qualification for this position include:

  • 1 year experience in admitting
